The Actor's Showcase


The Actor's Showcase is an opportunity for the top students in the Professional Actor's Studio to perform their work in front of a live, engaging audience. It is also an opportunity for actors to showcase their talents for an audience of casting directors, agents, and other industry professionals. The showcase is another way we keep actors prepared for real world of acting.
 
 

A Chance to Perform in the Actor's Showcase and an Opportunity to Get Results

Every four months, students from the advanced and intermediate classes are invited to participate in the Actor's Showcase. Three to four industry professionals usually attend the anticipated event. As part of their welcome packet, these industry professionals are given the headshots and resumes of the actors performing in the showcase, as well as actors who are not performing. The goal of the Actor's Showcase is to present the students of the Professional Actor's Studio to the decision-makers of the acting industry in a way that produces concrete results (i.e., casting, representation, auditions).

As as result of our showcases, many of the participating and non-participating actors have been selected by these agents for representation, and/or contacted by the casting directors for auditions.
